'Mouse rage can make you ill'
Online shopping saves time-but it can make you sick and stressed out. Buying stuff on the internet can lead to heart, anxiety or other health problems.
And experts have even discovered a new danger dubbed ''mouse rage''. More than 4 million pounds an hour will be spent by UK online shoppers in the run-up to CHristmas. But many people will pay the price with soaring stress. People monitored as they shopped on websites suffered the same levels as they would getting divorced or moving home. They showed the same symptoms of rage and frustration as High Street shoppers battling against crowds or searching in vain for a parking space. The tests, carried out by the Social Issues Research Centre, wired up volunteers as they went online and tracked their heart rate, brainwaves, muscle tension and skin reaction. When they found pages slow to download or went on sites which kept crashing or were not easy to navigate, heart rates increased and shoppers started sweating. Many showed signs of frustration with constant mouse clicking, clenched teeth and taut facial muscles. They were also banging of machines and swearing. Health expert Liz Tucker said: This report shows that mouse rage can be as stressful as moving house, divorce and money worries. Online shopping can be particularly hazardous. Finding, paying for and arranging delivery of gifts or booking holidays through badly-hosted websites that keep crashing can quickly get the blood boiling. The report recommends shoppers stagger their online spending sprees, particularly at this time of the year when there is so much more to buy.
''Z mys manie mozete ochoriet''
Vedci dalej zistili nove nebezbecenstvo nazvane ''mys mania''. Vela z nich bolo vo frustracii spojenej s neprestajnym klikanim myskou, zatatymi zubami a napnutym mimickym svalstvom. Taktiez trieskali do pocitacov a kliali. Hlavne nakupovanie cez internet moze byt velmi nebezpecne.
