Ok, try this. Using your Asus driver disk, select the option to install the USB drivers. If your on XP it should prompt you that you don't need them as XP has native USB support. Then check if you've still got errors in Device manager.
I know this may sound odd and meaningless, but it worked for me with my Asus board when I had an unknown device in Device manager and I've seen it cure other device manager errors; go figure

Bingo! That's got it. Not quite sure how but we're there. First time around it didn't want to know. Run the Hot Fix and then tried the update driver in Device Manager against 'PCI Device', picked it up, installed and everyone's happy.

mohol by mi to niekto prelozit do nejakeho strucneho navodu, ktoremu by rozumel aj neznalec ?
1. ked chcem instalovat USB 2.0, tak mi zahlasi, ze win XP SP2 a novsie nemusia instalovat ovladac na USB..., o tom tam pise.
2. ze ci aj potom mam v spravcovi zariadeni nejaku chybu, ano mam, ethernet blbosti....
3. tie chyby s ethernetom, tam su stale aj po tom pokuse s USB.... skusal som ich vymazat, ale to mi nebolo nic platne...to so zvukom nema nic spolocne
4. ten druhy to spravil, a islo to.. takze WTF ? ale mam presne tu chybu co mal aj on... a jemu to islo

mam nainstalovanu aj win vista, a tam som ziadn ovladac neinstaloval, a ide zvuk...takze chyba v HW hadam nebude... neviete ako by som si mohol spojazdnit zvuk aj na XP(myslim, ze by stacila uspesna instalacia ovladaca, ale nemozem, koli tej chybe pri instalacii
