no mam 8800 GS a nainstaloval som ovladac novy z nvidie a vsetko v poho az na to max rozlisenie co ponka max 640x480

mam ubuntu par dni a chcem to aj mat

ja neviem ako dat .konzolu ..to je moj hlavny problem hadam by som sa aj potom rozhybal

V Gnome Ubuntu sa to nastaviť cez gui nedá (v Kubuntu sa to dá).

Je súbor /etc/X11/xorg.conf a tam zmeň sekcie Monitor a Screen na toto:

prípadne napíš aké rozlíšenie, frekvenciu používaš na Windows, ja mám toto na 1024x768.

no vo win pouzivam 1024x768 75hz ,,,a v ubuntu ak zapnem tu nvidiu tak mi ponukne max niako menej nez 640x480

Nehnevaj sa, ak ta trosku poopravim. GUI sa pod rutom pusta cez gksudo a nie sudo.

Dík za info, nie som v GNOME tak doma, nevedel som ten príkaz a nechcelo sa mi hľadať, v KDE je to cez príkaz kdesu

No dobre, ale ten príkaz si zadával, keď si mal nainštalovaný akcelerovaný ovládač Nvidia, alebo keď si ho vypol? 3D akcelerácia ti teraz nefunguje a v xorg.conf by si mal mať driver "nvidia".
Skús ešte raz hodiť výpis xorg.conf podľa príkazu

 gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

ale pri nainštalovanom ovládači Nvidia.
